Stargate Atlantis Lanard Nerf pistol gun by GirlyGamerAU Stargate Atlantis Lanard Nerf pistol gun by GirlyGamerAU
This is the Stargate based Lanard mod I did last week. Someone on my Facebook page suggested I try a Stargate themed blaster pistol and this is what I came up with.

I decided to make the barrel exit an actual Stargate portal. This was a pain in the rear, I had multiple attempts with resin that all failed and ended up going with Magic Water from Citadel, mixed with blue ink. Waited for it to cure slightly and lifted the ripples with a coffee stirrer, they dried in place and looked pretty cool.

Added in a bright blue LED with switch into the barrel where the cartridge ejects from, so the Stargate portal is illuminated. The gun turned out pretty cool, but doesn't fire anymore obviously. Oh I'd like to thank DA user ladyalexina for giving me permission to use her Stargate logos.

Reminds me of The Lawgiver Pistol in the New Dredd movie.

i hate to be that guy but a wormhole gun while cool looking is REALLY stupid in the stargate universe do to that whole only one gate can be active in a gravity well at a time rule

cool looking though

It's not meant to be true to the Stargate Universe in any other way than as a homage ;p

though a hand held device that could open a mini gate could be handy to lock out a gate to keep a enemy from escaping

I don't get how I can be the first one to comment on this! This is so cool! :D
The work you put into this was definitely worth it.
I've actually been wondering, do your guns sit around at home/your workplace or do you sell them?
I'm not offering to buy (I'm broke) but I was just curious.

Haha thanks mate. DA can be a tad quiet compared to other social networks.
At the moment they're in my garage on a wall and on various shelves in my office and other rooms. I'm just doing them for fun at the moment, but I might sell some if it's worthwhile for all the hours that goes in.
