Nerf Vortex Proton Fallout PIP-Boy gun propby *GirlyGamerAU

Artisan Crafts / Costumery / Props & Accessories

This is another homage to the Fallout universe using the Nerf Vortex Proton as a base. I went with a simplistic look here, gunmetal, detailing and a rusted / dirty grip. It took longer to do than it looks lol.

I'm well impressed. Both your and Meow's work really blow my mind. I just finished some more Borderlands inspired sidearms. A proton and another Maverik. Still nothing like what you guys are doing but there's been definite improvement

I really like your stuff. I've only just started modding and I'm not great at it. What paints do you use? do you use spray paint? I'm finding spray paint to be a bit of a PIA and I'm curious what other people are using. I'm working on a series of Borderlands1/2 inspired weapons. Nice work! I bought a Proton to customize too. I've never modded a Nerf before. Did you sand down the surface? Did you tear down completely? I took mine apart to see what I was going to deal with. Didn't seem too crazy. Thanks!

Sorry must have missed this... Yes always start by sanding the entire thing. I didn't take this all apart, just the nose.
